After Mozart's fortepiano from Salzburg
Anton Walter was the leading piano maker in Vienna at the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th century. In addition to Mozart, other famous composers such as Haydn and Beethoven also played his instruments. Anton Walter's instrument, which Mozart acquired in 1782, accompanied his work until his death in 1791. Mozart composed many of his piano works on this grand piano, and he conceived all of the piano concertos composed in Vienna for this instrument. Undoubtedly, the fortepiano does not have the same volume as a modern concert grand, but with an equally large dynamic spectrum, fresher and brighter than the modern piano.
