Clavichord Model 1

This formerly known as model 1. With a length of only 1.22m, the clavichord is easy to transport and still has a beautiful, powerful sound. We restored the clavichord, which was once built for the famous composer Ernst Pepping, in 2021 and is part of our instrument collection.

Pepping composed almost all of his pieces on this instrument. In the first edition of Pepping's Sonata I, published by Schott, he had the words 'for my clavichord 1937' printed under the final chord.
