HARPSICHORDS

Clavichord after Joh. Chr. Fleischer
The clavichord in Stade is one of the oldest surviving unfretted clavichords with a range of FF-d3. To reach this pitch range, the instrument was lengthened in the bass and the rear wall was moved outwards to accommodate the new keys and strings. It was probably created in 1729.
